先生Sensei's creation has made me learn a few things...

先生Sensei is supposed to represent being both a student and a teacher. I do my best to embody that and learn from every situation, good or bad.

The last few months, I've felt a definite movement in my life. Partially due to the fact that I've had to overcome new challenges with the creation of 先生Sensei. So I took what I learned from the last few months and gave some value to it. Here are 5 tips to helping create momentum in your life.

1. Immerse yourself in your dreams.

You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a shot at what you do want.
— Jim Carey

What do you really want to do? and not that fake bullshit answer you give your peers. What do you want your life to be like? Once you have an answer, the dream building process begins. You have to go after your dream like your life depends on it, because it does! Be around your dream all the time and be active in your dreams development. It's more important to be excited and involved so do your best not to worry about how you're gonna do it. Even though those doubts do come up. Just have the belief that it'll come together through spurts of inspiration and your ability to have fun with it. Just remember; you don't get what you want in life, you get what you are. So be the person to deserve your dream!

Also, don't fall for your own distractions. Learn how to set limits and say no to things that don't move you forward.

2. Once you've reached a limit. Push harder.

I got me here. I’m gonna get me outta this.
— Les Brown

Life can be going great then have a sudden head on collision. At these emotional/physical/mental limits, learn to give it one last go. One last hurrah with everything you've got. Even if you can't see the road ahead of you, you can always take next step. Find a reason to walk by faith, not by sight. Because if you don't take action, there will be no outcome at all. If the outcome is failure then don't get down about it, failure is a step forward. Give your life a sense of value and push with everything you've got for those steps.

3. All my hero's are self-made.

There can be no testimonial without a test. The stories of people getting to success or finding happiness are what drive other people to get their stories told. There are skills in you that we have yet to reach, and we just need to develop your talents. I remember when I first started entrepreneurship in 2011, I'd always hear, "If it were easy, everyone would do it." We have to respect that what you become in the process is more important then the initial results. The power is in our hands to become the person we must be to achieve our goals.

It doesn’t matter what happens to you, what matters is: what are you gonna do about it?
— Les Brown

4. Love is the liberator, brutha.

The title of this section is off of one of my favorite songs, 'World Wide' by Logic. It's a quote from the last call on the track and it stayed with me since I first heard it. That song makes me think about the ripple effect of what we do. So, spreading positivity and life progression is an amazing ability that 先生Sensei has acquired since its initial release. I've fallen in love with the vision for 先生Sensei and that feeling is something I believe to be essential for moving forward. You need to love where you've been, where you are, and where you're going. Stay in a state of gratitude by carrying a gratitude rock in your pocket. Every time you touch it throughout the day say 3 things you're grateful for. It's incredibly effective.

5. Build Mental Muscle

Just like when your in the gym looking for where you left your gains. The mind needs to rest after doing a new workout. I work my mind in a gym pattern as well. Rest; heal; get back on the bench. I'm always looking for new information to add to my mental workout, it's key to keep your mind open to new ideas.

Easy is not an option. If it's easy, it's probably not worth it. Choose something to really challenge your standards. Don't blow it out of proportion obviously, but take a goal and expand it by 35%.  It's worth the struggle so step up and away from average. Kick it into hardmode and go get around successful/happy people. Adopt the mentality you've came this far and you can't stop now. You've got a dent to leave in the universe.
