Luke Ostermiller's 'Crane' plays off of Batmans' Scarecrow...

With this film sitting just over 20 minutes in length, it offers a background for one of Batmans worst enemies, Scarecrow.

Cast: Jon Trujillo, Hilarie Nelson, Sam Thompson, Austin Gailey, Lyle DeRose, Ryan Seamy, Alex Marin and Seamus Curley.

Luke Ostermiller helped produce 'Newsroom One' along the side of Ryan Seamy, which we've featured on 先生Sensei. (You can check out the 'Newsroom One' posts HERE.) While Ostermiller plays the production role in 'Crane', you can catch a short glimpse of Ryan during the film, so keep an eye out for it! The main part of Jonathan is played by Jon Trujillo, who honestly gives a great performance with a handful of supporting actors and actresses. Overall, it's an entertaining short film that I definitely recommend checking out.

'Crane' is written and directed by Brandon Kehiayan,  and he's done an amazing job providing atleast some sort of backstory to the characters and packing a lot of action into the short run time. You can watch the full film below and don't forget to throw 'Crane' a like on YouTube.

After watching it, I reached out to Ostermiller about posting this article and he eagerly agreed to be featured. I asked him if he was working on any new projects and not wanting to say too much, he mentioned that he's working on a new feature film and openly gave a few details about the story.  "It's tentatively titled 'The Guys From The North Side' and has actually been in the works for a while now." Ostermiller said, "It's a gangster film that takes place here in Colorado and is loosely based on a true story."

This is something I'm personally very excited about considering that it features some lore from the area. Ostermiller also stated that they've casted a good portion of the crew and that they're planning to start shooting during early 2016. Lastly, Ostermiller says, "The movie is going to be very intense, we've got some crazy action sequences planned. It's quite edgy; very dark and very dirty. Definitely a rough film, but it portrays who these characters are and doesn't hold back."
